Founded in 1978, LCPIA keeps members informed of legislative issues involving income property, provides access to rental forms and procedures, and arranges discounts for goods and services through partnerships with local vendors.

Our Mission

Lake County Property Investors Association is a not-for- profit organization whose mission is to encourage, support and educate real estate investors, rental property owners and managers. Our monthly programs, seminars and newsletters regularly inform members about legislative issues, property maintenance and investment strategies in order to promote the progress and dignity of the rental and Real Estate investment industry. The organization provides a forum for its business members to promote their products and/or services.

LCPIA is a member of the Illinois Rental Property Owners Association (IRPOA), and networks with other Illinois investor associations to improve our organization and positively influence legislation that affects our investors.

Lisa Pugliese joined AHC in 2004, and brings nearly 20 years of experience as a nonprofit administrator and affordable housing advocate. Lisa provides leadership and direction for all aspects of AHC, including program development and implementation, revenue development, financial and administrative oversight, marketing and outreach, community relations and human resources matters.  She served as the Executive Director of the Lake County Affordable Housing Commission concurrently with her position at AHC from 2004 through 2013.  Prior to joining AHC, she served as the Executive Director of the DuPage Homeownership Center, and immediately prior as the Executive Director of the Home Builder Association of Lake County.  Honors include NeighborWorks National Innovations in Homeownership Award and Housing Action Illinois’ Golden Trowel Award.  With many volunteer posts to her credit, she currently serves on the Lake County Housing Action Coalition and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency of Planning’s Housing Advisory Committee.  Lisa graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

 

Keith S. Brin was sworn in as Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court on December 1, 2013.

 

E-filing and remote access to court records and documents are top priorities for Brin who most recently led the development of a state-of-the-art Electronic Filing System without the use of taxpayer funds.   As Clerk of the Circuit Court, Brin is an outspoken advocate and steadfast proponent of utilizing technology to create a seamless and efficient connection between the courts and those utilizing the courts.

 

A highly regarded attorney and accomplished business executive prior to entering public service, Brin practiced law in Chicago where he focused on representing companies and employers.  As a business executive, Brin helped turn small to medium sized entrepreneurial ventures from failing companies into profitable ones through legal, financial, and managerial overhauls.

 

Outside of the Circuit Clerk’s office, Brin is highly involved in a number of civic and philanthropic organizations.

 

Brin received both a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Public Health Degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  He also received a JD from the Loyola University School of Law.

 

Keith and his wife Courtney live in Highland Park, and are the parents of three young children: Sheridan, Hudson and Arden.
